My sister found 3 yards of this turquoise dot fabric at a thrift store. A quilter must have donated it as it had finished ends and was prewashed. It matches fabrics I already have. (Please prewash all your fabrics before cutting and sewing.)

The shorts are found on Pinterest : Sew Like My Mom | Sycamore Shorts Free pattern 12m-8T
They are also found on: rileyblakedesigns.com
I finally found THE pattern I am using for shorts. No side seams and so it goes faster. I do not have a serger so I make French seams. I took the pattern to the copy shop and made all 9 sizes so now they are set and ready to go! The pattern has really great pockets, that you can add. My granddaughter always wears little modesty shorts under a dress so I thought it would be a nice idea and an "outfit" might be special. I want to send a little t-shirt and panties. Since I am making just a handful of dresses, I have been sending them directly to South Dakota with Carol Binnie Johnson as my DAG rep.
Go to the SEWFORKIDS blog and SEWFORKIDS Facebook page to see kids from the Rez
The ladies at my nursing home just finished decorating a dozen flip flops to go with the dresses and made 10 old-fashioned yarn dolls. The ladies in assisted living are going to hand-crochet edgings on fleece blankets for the kids. After my "presentation" at the home, they were excited to help. And, they love seeing the dresses!
I am having lots of fun and I will be sending a new box, hopefully tomorrow morning with 7 more dresses, some shorts, the flip flops, and some yarn dolls!
I love seeing what people sew, so can't wait to see your dresses. Thanks for the nice comments!

Love your latest dresses and the complete ensemble. Do you have a specific pattern for the shorts? Do you also include a pair of panties too? . I just started up again as I was in midst of a move etc and just got my sewing room/office set back up. So I haven't posted any new photos..but I will in the next few weeks so. Keep up to beautiful work You can see that your heart is in everyone you do
