These are so pretty, Colleen! I was browsing the photos for ideas and this is the first time I have seen these! I wanted to tell you how much I like the buttons you add for decoration. Nice little touch; I love the hearts you've added to your most recent posted dresses, too.
I have been trying the pillowcase style for the last 2 weeks. I like making them, although I don't love making bias. Just ordered a bias making tool from Joanne Fabrics so maybe I won't steam my fingers so often. It is getting easier the more I do it. I think that once I get all the measurements that I like figured out, I will be able to make them a little faster.
The ladies at my nursing home LOVE looking at the dresses!

Deb-Thanks! I am having a lot of fun! I tried the pillowcases, when I worked on a project with some friends for Little Dresses for Africa-which is how I got back into sewing. I found that I had more choices with fabric and it realy does not take that much longer. Alos, I like to have some varierty in patterns andhave found some easy (good for me) patterns. Plus, I love all those fabrics and have gotten really creative in cutting out so I can maximize the material I do buy-on sale of course!

Do yuknow Suzanne Slupesky? Sharon Miranda in the sacramento area said she sews in Livermore? Unfortuntely I work 5 days+ a weeks so free time limited. Take Care!

Hi Colleen....These dresses are absolutely adorable. I especially love the brown and blue circle fabric ones!!! Looks like you use fabric instead of pillow cases too! I don't especially like to use pillowcases. Keep up the wonderful work! Deb
