About Me

We live in Colorado Springs. I've sewn clothes since I was in grade school. My own  little girl is now 26 years old. I was so excited to read about this project in the newspaper. I can't wait to get started on my first dress.

Thank you ladies for making another fun sewfest Saturday. Carol & Natalie Reece lead the "doll" group - making a village full of pocket pals. Lil McNeill and Amanda Madera made some darling village girls. Nancy Matthews brought 2 huge bags of sweet dresses. Carolyn Hock came to see how the sewfest runs so she can hold a sewfest with her quilting group. Debbie Robeski, Carolyn Brown and Mella Dee Homoki brought dresses and dolls that they have worked on at home. Carla Parish & Shannon Balkan stopped by with kiddos who added to the pocket pal village. Cathy Berg, Nancy & I worked on dresses and shared short cut tips. We all enjoyed lunch together - thank you Amanda for the awesome tray of Chick Fila nuggets - yuuummm!

Saturdays harvest allowed us to send another box of dresses and dolls to Max Lucado's church in San Antonio TX. They are sending a missionary to S Sudan in a couple of weeks.

I look forward to meeting with the "Sew happy to Sow" group again sometime in Aug. Have a blessed and wonderful summer. BTW - I've started using a glitter glue pen to place a small cross near the neckline of each dress.
Tell your friends and churches about what we're doing. I'd be glad to talk to anyone about this important & wonderful mission. I apologize to the ladies who had to deal with the gate guards last Saturday. I didn't realize how difficult it was going to be for you to get on base - they are being very strict right now. Props to Carolyn Hock who managed to "sweet talk" her way on without an escort - girl has skills.
