About Me

I am a Christian SAHM of three who loves to give back! I have a beaded jewelry business and a year ago became the Connecticut State Representative for Dress A Girl Around The World. I love the feeling that comes from helping others!  My love for all crafts is thriving in this Dress a Girl environment!  I am sew charged up to help bless and dress little girls.  What a great feeling to know I have had a hand in raising the self esteem of a little girl somewhere!

I have been spending lots of time these last two weeks going through all the sheet donations and boxes of fabric donations I have accumulated. I am trying to get it all cut into pillowcase dress sizes in anticipation of our next big sewing event at our church on April 2nd. I would really love to be able to finish ALOT of dresses that day! And, I REALLY want to move some of these stored boxes out of my basement!!! I am anxious to start shipping dresses to David Wagner at Father's Heart Ministries in Pensacola, Florida. Did you hear that he wants 10,000 dresses to distribute to little girls all over Africa and South America for us?? He wants most of them by July! GULP! Anyway, if you can help us by sewing and sending them to him it would really be appreciated!! Just mail them in a box to this address and make sure it says in big letters on the box-DRESS A GIRL AROUND THE WORLD!:
Fathers Heart Ministries
5910 North "W" Street
Pensacola, FLorida 32505

Thanks so much! Please email me with how many dresses you were able to send- dressagirlct@gmail.com.

Thanks and happy sewing!

We had another great sewing event January 20th here in Connecticut! About 15 women from the church turned out to help in shifts and we continued working on our large pile of dresses! Thanks to all the women who came out in the frigid weather to bless little girls all around the world! I really appreciate all your efforts!

I helped organize and run our first Dress a Girl event in September with Cornerstone Church in Cheshire, CT. We had about 20 women & a few daughters come and we were able to start over 300 dresses! I am sewing them all the time in my spare time! Our second event is tomorrow-Oct 16th and I am hoping to finish most of them. On my own-before the first event, I made about 100 dresses. I just love how cute and easy they are and feel I am doing the Father's work when I am making them. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive way to ship all these dresses?

Looking forward to our Dress A Girl event Saturday at Cornerstone Church in Cheshire, CT! My personal goal is to have about 100 dresses ready before the event and I am about 2/3 of the way there! Just keep sewing, just keep sewing... :)
