Dress a Girl Around the World

About Me

Mother of twin daughters, grandmother to 7, 5 grandson and only 2 grand daughters

I am disabled and have spent the last nine months trying to recuperate from major surgery. So I spend my time volunteering and trying to help those that are less fortunate than I by knitting and sewing clothes and accessories for children who need warm things for our cold winters.

I have always loved to make things for little girls. This program will let my creative ideas run amok doing what I love to do. ( my granddaughters are both taller than me, one, 14, being over 6 ft, they do not want little guy clothes)

Another thought is that if you knit DAG is getting together warm dresses for girls at an Indian Reservation in South Dakota. The girls could use mittens, hats, scarves, sweaters, etc. to go with the dresses. I'm trying to coordinate with other knitting groups to see if they'll team with us. Plus, I'm contacting agencies that work with girls in need in WI and they can always use the warm clothing too.

Orfordville, yes? If so, there is a group starting soon at the New Horizon Methodist Church. I just met with their women's board last Tuesday and they want to launch something; however, I don't have dates/times yet. There is going to be an event at the Edgerton Public Library on Sat. 10/15/ from 10:30 to 1:30. I'll let you know as soon as I have info on dates for Orfordville.

Hi!

Welcome to Dress a Girl! I'm your state representative and will help you in anyway I can. Where are you located? Would you like to join or host a sewing group in your area?

If you're on Facebook you can "Like" the Dress A Girl Around the World - Wisconsin Chapter to "meet" other sewers, get tips and tricks, and keep up on happenings in Wisconsin.

Unfortunately, this site doesn't forward me posts and I'm bad about checking in everyday. If you have questions it's probably best to email them to tmsofedgerton@yahoo.com
