Volunteers are the backbone of our campaign. We have sew many people that help to dress the girls. Thank you to all of our volunteers!! We would like you to meet some of our HEROES!

Mae
Mae is 90 years young. She has traveled 8 times to Uganda and 1 time to Guatemala. On her first trip in 2005 she found out about Hope 4 Women International. And as they say "the rest is history"
Mae has loved the opportunity to reach out and serve others and also the opportunity to see new places. Once while in Uganda she even got to ride on a Bota Bota (a motorcycle used like a taxi) Mae says the greatest thing about working with Dress A Girl Around the World is seeing the smiles and surprised faces on the girls when they receive their dresses! She now volunteers at the warehouse every second and fourth Friday of the month. A smiling encouragement to all of us. I share the same birthday with Mae and I always tell her when I grow up I want to be just like her!
When I asked Mae questions about being a volunteer hero she said
"As Tom Eggum stated about me going to Africa –you are never to “old” to go – my first trip in 2005 – I was 77. He likes to tell my church that I am now 105 – (and started out at 90), and to this day, I have people saying they didn’t know I was THAT old. You know that it is better to give than receive. I also feel that there are so many more deserving of this honor who have made dozens/hundreds of dresses to allow this program to be so great."
Thank you Mae for loving all of these girls!!
